A little early for science sunday: light refracting through a thin layer of oil! Hanging out at Charmingtons, a hip cafe (aren’t they all) in lower charles village. Mostly I like it for the tea selection and the clientel. Its pretty under the radar unlike boho where you always meet somebody you know or there’s a band playing. That’s all well and good most of the time, but sometimes I just want tea and quiet.
A cardboard box can be so many things — [like] this classy silhouette chandelier, designed by the one and only Kayte Terry.
Kayte is an all-around creative spirit and the author of several craft books, and this project is an excerpt from her forthcoming volume, Paper Made (available May 9, 2012). For more DIY projects, inspiration, and tidbits, check out her blog. Rescue a cardboard box from the recycling bin, and follow along for a project to light up your life.

I have some half assed documentation…. but honestly, how do you document something in the dark that’s about touch and presentness? I’ll upload it after I finish the edges…
